Please Go Out and Cast Your Vote!!

Hi Everybody the time is getting short and we need to ensure we have our voices heard this election. Too many people consider municipal politics to be on the lower end of the political landscape. People need to understand that the level of government that has the biggest impact on their daily life and pocket book is the city.

Go out on Monday and cast your vote.....I don't care who you vote for just as long as you do it.

SHADY DEALINGS

With just three days before the Ottawa's municipal election, the announcement that Dalton McGuinty would withdraw Ontario funding if the LRT contract did not go ahead in its (exact) present form, exposes one of the worst potential manifestations of Liberal collusion and cronyism we've seen since Adscam.

To literally 'blackmail' the new council into the burden of accepting the secret Billion-Dollar-plus contract, (that Federal Government funders have already flagged as represting questionable value for money), is beyond fiscal irresponsibility. It's outright scandalous.

Mr. McGuinty's stunt has the smell and appearance of blatant collusion and cronyism. One could even conclude that it has the appearance of a gangland-style Liberal pay-off scheme amongst McGuinty's Ottawa friends, (including his buddy, Bob Chiarelli). (One wonders where Chiarelli's close advisor and office insider, Brendan McGuinty, brother of Dalton, fits in all of this?)

This alerts the public's worst fear: that the illusive, hither-to-now, unfathomable 'rationale' for the North-South route of the LRT may now be --suddenly-- in-our-face apparent.

RCMP investigators should be promptly dispatched to 'follow the money' on this one, and diligently proceed in connecting the dots until they find out the parties who would most benefit from this fetid deal.

What we do know for certain is, it's not the taxpayers of Ottawa who would benefit!
