ahhh Munter wants Mayor Bob to Retract His Comment

Poor Alex got caught with a Bombardier lobbyist on his committee to review and advise him on the LRT project and he is crying foul saying that it was a personal attack. Well guess what Alex it is a personal attack and it is deserved. You personally decided to appoint this guy and he personally owns a company that lobbies on behalf of Bombardier so the Mayor is perfectly within his rights to personally point out those facts.

Munter Has a Serious Problem and No Ethics

How can we trust this guy? I am no fan of Mayor Bob but he did say something last night that was very troubling and is in today's Ottawa Sun. Alex has appointed John Banigan to his committee to review the LRT is pure stupidity. He plans to give a man who's company lobbies for Bombardier access to confidential and possibly proprietary information from the winning bid for the LRT. How is Munter going to spin his way out of this one?

The more we learn about Munter the more troubling he becomes. Please Larry O'Brien gain more in the polls so that the remaining Chiarelli supporters can jump on your bandwagon.

Is Andy Misleading the Public

I don't have a problem with Mr. Haydon using his political experience to his advantage in this election. I do however object to him exaggerating that experience. I got this off his website

7. TAXES - INEVITABLE BUT CONTROLLABLEWhile I was Mayor of Nepean, we were successful in becoming debt free with taxes consistent with the cost of living through a series of initiatives that drew raves from all across North America. Those same principles must be introduced at Ottawa City Hall.

Now if someone didn't know better like the majority of the younger voters in Ward 22 they would be led to believe Mr Haydon was responsible for the success the City of Nepean had in keeping taxes down. What he fails to mention in his literature is that he was only Mayor of Nepean for a week....A friggin week and he was not even elected. Ben Franklin assumed Mayor duties a week after Mr Haydon did.

For him to have the nerve to lead people to believe he had something to do with Nepeans record on taxes and spending is pure bull. He had nothing to do with it from what I can find out and he should not be taking credit for it.

And The Spending Spree Continues

Nice Bob! This election can't come fast enough for my liking. The longer it goes on and if Chiarelli keeps lagging behind we will see many more announcements like this. 100 new soccer fields over the next 4 years.

Now I don't know about you but wouldn't you need a shit load of land to build 100 soccer fields? Obviously they will have to be built on the outskirts of the city, maybe in the extreme south or in the west and east. I don't see too many places in Barrhaven to put a soccer field in the populated areas and if we keep growing the way we are there won't be any room for them.

Tomorrow he will be promising 50 new arenas. I think someone should check the fine print on those promises because I am sure there are clauses in there that call for a certain amount of federal and provincial funding to make these things a reality.

I can't wait for what Munter is going to promise next.......Maybe a 100 soccer fields and 10,000 daycare spaces. Get this election over with so that we can get back to getting gouged for every penny of out taxes.

Our Crime Rate Continues to Climb in My Opinion

This guy should get charged with Murder as well as those armed robberies. I am so sick of people getting off with these crimes and he should be made an example of. I guess the big story from this will turn out to be the actions of the police and how they forced the car to crash. Is this city going to the dogs or am I just out to lunch on this crime issue?

Looks Like Andy Haydon is Finally Getting Involved

I have been pretty hard on Mr. Haydon over the past couple of months because I was getting the impression that he was running in this campaign on his name alone. I felt it was an insult to the other candidates in this election that have been working their guts out to try and garner as much support as they can. Now it appears that he is getting more involved and that is a good thing. First I saw some signs going up around Barrhaven and then it came to my attention thanks to my friends at the Hall Monitor that he has a website.

Now don't get me wrong I still think he is the wrong man for the job and the fact that he fell asleep at two Community Association meetings during this campaign has nothing to do with it. Fact is I think he is out of touch with the young families in Ward 22 and there are candidates that are better suited to represent them. Tanya Thompson seems to have all the qualities that we need in a councillor and she has community ties like no other in this slate of candidates and a proven track record on community initiatives. I have seen her at a couple of debates and she seems to be very informed when answering questions and genuinely connects with the residents.

There are too many Liberals in this city council and for the sake of the City we need to get rid of as many of them as possible. That is why we should not elect Steve Desroches unless we want to get more of the same old crap coming from City Hall. If Munter happens to win this election we need as many like minded councillors to drive the agenda of the city for the next four years and god help us if we don't.

Susan Sherring Really Gets on My Nerves

After reading her last couple of articles October 19 and October 20 you would almost think she is getting ready to jump of the good ship Chiarelli and climb aboard Larry O'Brien. Yesterday she was giving praise to O'Brien as to how honest and charming he seems to be and has been giving credibility to O'Brien's campaign. Then as I read more of the article she continues to compliment him but then towards the end rightly points out that his campaign is short on details. I have to give her credit she managed to praise him and then cast doubt in the same breath. She praised him enough to make people take notice but didn't criticize enough to piss him off. Looks like she is positioning herself to be in good favor with Larry just in case her hero Bob loses.

Now on the other hand she has been a loyal supporter of Mayor Bob or at least that is how it appears to me and other Lefties like Alex Cullen. That is why it puzzles me she is not jumping on the Munter band wagon. Maybe she is trying to give the hint to Chiarelli supporters and no doubt her biggest fans that if it appears Bob is going to lose then maybe they should vote for Larry to save the City from Munter Madness. What ever here reasoning it is obvious to me that she may be falling under the charms of Larry O'Brien and that can mean good news for Larry especially if she totally abandons Bob and starts to show Larry in a more favorable light.

As Usual Someone Is Telling Lies in the Mayoral Race

The new annual inflation numbers came out today and folks they are looking pretty good. At 0.7% it is the lowest the annual rate has been in 2 1/2 years. I also heard it reported this morning that the inflation rate for the city of Ottawa was a meager 0.1%. So here in lies the problem.

Bob Chiarelli says that he will fight to keep the tax increase at 1.8 which he says is below the rate of inflation. Excuse me Bob where do you get that number? That was the projected rate but it is obvious that it is way too high. Are you going to adjust your number?

Now Alex Munter also says he will keep tax hikes at the rate of inflation...What number is he going to use and can he deliver? I think we should ask him.

Now Mr O'Brien says that he won't raise taxes at all. Everybody thinks he is crazy, but keep this in mind if we use the rate of the City of Ottawa which is at 0.1% then effectively O'Brien is right and that increase in basically nothing.

So who is telling the truth and what numbers are they going to use to calculate the annual rate of inflation, the National Rate, Provincial Rate or the Municipal Rate...Either way we need to know or are they going to add them all together which is what seems to happen to us every year?

This is an email I sent to all three of the Mayor candidates and I am awaiting their answer.

I have seen all of your promises related to Property Tax Increases and the Annual Rate of Inflation. I would like to get some clarification on your positions. Today the annual rate was the lowest it has been in 2 1/2 years at 0.7%. Does that mean that any tax increase would be in that area?

I read a story that Mr Chiarelli promised that any increase would be 1.8% and that is below the rate of inflation. What rate are you talking about Mr Chiarelli?

It was also reported this morning that the City of Ottawa inflation rate was at 0.1% which is basically no increase and that would bolster Mr O'Brien's promise not to raise taxes at all. How do all three of you respond to this?

It seems that someone is not telling the truth about how much taxes should rise and we deserve to know what inflation rate you are going to use to justify taking more money out of the pockets of tax payers.

My numer id: 207358417

My benefits from Canada Pension Plan (CPP) = $1,018.57
This is my total monthly income from CPP.
This is my monthly income from Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) = $196.79
Total amount before deductions = $1,215.36 (my figures)
Now, here are their figures: Basic needs = $788.00
Shelter = $491.32
Total = $1,279.32
Their figures ODSP:
Deductions: CPP = $1,018.57
ODSP Recovery = $63.96
Total = $1,082.53
Cheque amount = $196.79
Now for deductions overpayment balance:
Originaly they had $25,000 overpayment on my id number. The overpayment balance now is $6,703.43

The Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) reduced this figure when I personally went into their Rideau Centre office. However, I asked how I could possibly owe $25,000 when I had been on ODSP for only a few months. That's when two security guards wrestled me to the floor, putting their knee in my ribs while cuffing me, and cracked my ribs . . . .all the while saying, "Do not resist!" (Some of the Ottawa Police use this same tactic. So much for, "To Serve and Protect") All the while I am resisting the pain that they are inflicting on me while cracking my ribs.

When they got me onto the elevator which is a few steps away, insde they pushed my face into the wall (while my hands were cuffed behind my back), bent the wire frames of my glasses. When we got to the basement, my arms still cuffed behind my back, they pulled my arms almost level witth my shoulders (pure unadulterated pain). They put me in the lockup still cuffed tight to the max, cutting off circulation; my thumb and forefinger on my left hand has a numb sensation to this day.

The Ottawa Police then came (I'm still cuffed in the cell). The security guards then took me out of the cell. One of the police officers took the cuffs off and wrote me a ticket to appear in court.

Then I asked the police officer if I could go get myself a drink of "high-test". He answered, "Help yourself." He walked me outside; I got myself a drink. Not bad.

I went to court on the date specified on the citation. The judge gave me a complete discharge - no criminal record. By the way, I am barred from the Rideau Centre for life. I now have to see an advocacy worker at Centre 454 on Murray St. in Ottawa. I can use the phone to contact them, but they put me on hold, sometimes for 45 minutes. This system is designed to make you quit. So much for manners.

An Open Letter to the Citizens of Ottawa:

These three pillars are my chariot's platform to empower the chariotiers - the citizens of Ottawa.

There is a Tide

There is a tide in the affairs of men,
Which, taken at its flood, leads to fortune
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries:
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures.

Jan Harder - is the most gifted of the most senior lyricists.
Of her verse one can say definitely that much of it will endure. Few have managed the sonnet form with such consummate artistry; few have moulded unbending poetic forms for the uses of a consumate passion as she has done.
In reference to Jan Harder's outburst in the Ottawa Sun; her comment about the two Alex's - Mr. Alex Cullen and Mr. Alex Munter - so much for pianissimo and forte. I don't think Jan Harder is "Major" Harder (an unwelcome playmate).

The Three Basic Pillars of Destruction: Mayor Chiarelli
Counselor Rick Chiarelli
John Chiarelli
The “Doo-Wops”

The same old song - “Hands in Our Pockets” – in the pockets of the good citizens of Ottawa!

A C-PAC – a Chiarelli packed Doo-Wop song

Recycle the Laurentian School property on Ottawa’s nickel – Red Crossed; Blue Crossed; Double Crossed!

Library properties are next – Rick Chiarelli’s charade!

John Chiarelli – Ottawa Carleton Catholic School Board running for Trustee in Zone 6

Just might, just might, just might be going into the real estate business flogging Catholic School Board property with his influence as a trustee.

Good citizens of Ottawa: This is a pivotal time in the municipal elections in the City of Ottawa.
Let us endeavor to rid ourselves of this plague – These three basic pillars of destruction embedded in the very fabric of our city.

Question: Is this MISHPOCHAH helping mishpochah? (Mishpochah = Hebrew for family)

Mr. Bloess is all in favour of the city paying him the $$$

Re: Blue Boxes - little and big containers

Morgantic relationship (morgengabe - morning gift)
This fits where I live in Vanier. Waste Management picks up garbage in the morning.

I, Robert Larter, have first hand knowledge and experience of the waste management business. I have been in this business (not registered) operating as "Bullet Bob's Trucking" in Sydnay, Nova Scotia, and learned, quite by serendipity (the unexpected).
I was in business in a small way. Every few days, I accumulated aproximately $175 in recyclable metal (aluminum, copper, bress, car batteries, etc.).
In Ottawa, I just recently ran a survey on garbage day in Vanier. I filled two "Giant Tiger" shopping bags with these GOLD($$$) metals and received $29.20 at Cohen & Cohen Scapyard on Bemtley Avenue in Ottawa. It was quite an excursion as I went by OC Transpo bus.

Wate Management Inc. has special vaccuum cleaner trucks picking up all this GOLD metal on garbage day free of charge (retail and wholesale) all at the expense of the good citizens of Ottawa.

This GOLD metal would pay for expensive medical operations for the sick kids at C.H.E.O. and first persons (first nations) Odawa ladies who need the help most.

For a more detailed and in-depth perspective (view): W5 - Who, What, Where, When, Why.

The blue boxes are marked, "Ottawa Recylcing", not "Waste Management Inc."
Is this flogged (contracted out)?
This is a tempest in a teapot (just lift the lid). Distraction after distraction.
Where is all the $$$ for all these gold metals going? What is the agenda? When and who is responsible for the where and why?
I, Robert Larter, have some gut feelings about this, and that, and that, and that!

Thise mega gold metals could be a habitat for humanity.
What would the good citizens of Ottawa be thinking of this, that, that, and that?

Is this a Chiarelli pyramid scheme?

Who the Hell is Robert Taylor Larter?

He is running for Mayor and no one seems to know who he is and I have seen several stories commenting on how he is a mystery man.

Ottawa Sun Profiles

Ottawa Citizen Doesn't know

CBC Doesn't know either

Well my friends I know who he is, or atleast I have a window into his personality that you may find interesting. I have a copy of an email he sent to every candidate in the election and one by Catherine Gardener stating how she reported him to police...this is just one of the emails I have gotten my hands on. Have a read and tell me what you think.

Doo-wop: Music of the Times

W.O.P. (With-Out Prejudice)

The showroom, Mr. Ignatieff - the 2nd cup
Thailand hind-quarter. Thirty years out of country.
A mosaic and coleague of Mr. Volpe - 1st cup of e-coli 0157.
The three un-wise men. Three more cups of e-coli 0157 (pure unadulterated poison) served up by the triplets: the Chiarelli triplets.

W.O.P. is NOT racist. It's an imigration stamp of another time in the past. A word that was misrepresented and became racist for ignorant persons such as Mr. Rick Chiarelli, Mr. Hunter and Mr Marleau, who sent me emails recently accusing me of being racist. This trio - also Mr. Ludington - should get jobs at Zellers as manequins. They only think with 10% of their brain . . . between them they only have 40%. I personally think with 100% plus 10% for good measure. That's why I'm running for mayor and they're not.

It's time to bring this rideau (curtain) down. This is organized crime. This doo-wop song, "Hands In Our Pockets" should actually be "Money in Their Pockets" Their fingerprints are all over this fine country of Canada. Especially the following quintet:
Mr. Volpe
Mr. Ignatieff
Mayor Chiarelli
Mr. Rick Chiarelli
Mr. John Chiarelli

These five are an organized immoral crime family -all related. It's time this doo-wop family get heir pink slips.

Note to Rick Chiarelli: Go f*** yourself. Try Jan Harder. Jan would lick the hind-quarter of a skunk. Don't delay! Rick, you personally can't mask the smell with P.P. (powder and perfume).

Memo to everyone: Don't EVER try to quote me out of context! You aren't an even match. I'll give you the accountability act.

Is Susan Sherring a Columnist or Agent for Side Show Bob?

I am so sick of her and her bias towards Bob Chiarelli and this latest story takes the cake. Why the hell would she send a letter to Stephen Harpers wife complaining about John Baird? She has been consistently putting Larry O'Brien down ever since he joined this race and is usually favorable to Mayor Bob. In fact she is the only columnist I ever see that praises Alex Cullen. I think the Ottawa Sun should get themselves a new City Hall writer that will tell it like it is.

The fact is that the Mayor lied about many facets of this LRT project and Mr Baird is only shedding some light on it. Don't forget Susan that John Baird is not only the President of the Treasury Board but he is also a citizen of this City. It is his responsibility to look out for the best interest of all tax payers and history has proven that this council doesn't give a damn for anything except for their pet projects.

Hopefully cooler heads will prevail in this situation and we will finally get some facts with relation to this project. Many of the councillors that voted on this issues had no idea what the costs were and faced a lot of resistance when they wanted to see the contract.

Moderator Changed for Riverside South Debate

It appears that there were some concerns raised about the fact that Scott Hodge was to be moderating the debate on Oct 14 in Riverside South. The fact that he is a contributor to Smilin' Steve's campaign potentially puts him in a conflict of interest. In response to these concerns Mr Hodge has enlisted the services of freelance journalist Michael Hammond to host the debate. I trust he is an impartial observer but I will always have my doubts when Steve's campaign supporters are involved.

Unsolicited Emails in Riverside South

Looks like several users of the Riverside South Community Association website have been getting unsolicited emails from a local candidate that they don't name but they say it is not Eric Lamoureux. They say they started receiving the emails immediately after posting on the website.

Now I am not a conspiracy theorist but it is hardly a coincidence. Let me get this straight.... Someone signs up to use the Community Association website and all of a sudden they start receiving emails from this particular candidate who is not Eric. When the moderators of the site are questioned about the incidents the President of the Association Scott Hodge replies

" We can not restrict the use of personal contact information that has been provided by an individual in a public discussion forum such as this. However, let me restate that no candidate for the upcoming municipal election has ever had access to the contact information held by the RSCA in either our membership database or our volunteer database, as dictated in our privacy policy"

So Let me get this straight.... The Vice President of the Association; Steve Desroches or the Civic Affairs person Eric Lamoureux never had access to the membership list at any time since they were on the executive. I find that hard to believe. What about the president who is a Desroches supporter? Would he have access to the list? What about this guy Marc who seems to be one of Steve's biggest supporters? Is he on the executive and have access to the Membership list? I find it hard to believe the association has never sent out a group email with all the members on it at some point that would have been addressed to Steve or Eric.

Does everyone associated with Steve's campaign think that everyone else in the world is stupid and only they know what is going on? Well I got news for you jokers; we all know what the hell you are up to. I am not saying that anyone in the association or Steve's and Eric’s campaigns have done anything wrong but we would be really really stupid not to at least ask the questions. We can always ask but I doubt we will get anything but a smile and a pat on the head.

Steve Installs 300th Personal Lawn Sign??

We have all seen the news of Smilin Steve installing his 300th Personal Lawn Sign. That is quite a feat and he should be congratulated for that although I think that some people in the community may disagree with the way he achieved that number. According to this post on the Riverside South Community Association the guy woke up in the morning and there sitting on his lawn was a Steve Desroches sign. He says he never asked for it and he was neither for or against Steve but didn't want his sign so he threw it in the garbage. Way to help the environment Steve I guess that one will find itself in the landfill.

Turmoil in Riverside South over Ward 22 Election!

I have been reading the message board on the Riverside South Community Association Website and found it very interesting. Seems that there is a definate leaning towards Smilin Steve from many of the posters like the former President of the Association Craig Cudmore as he endorses Steve in this post. Seems very unusual to me that the Community Association would allow this on their website as it is sure to bring a lot of tension to the members of the association that both Steve and Eric are members of.

I guess when the current President Scott Hodge is a supporter and donor to Steves Campaign (who is also the Vise President of said Association) you don't mind dividing a community to get your man elected. I thought the purpose of a Community Association is to bring the community together not tear them apart in partisan battles. Ah screw it, what is one little community when you have a bigger agenda, getting elected. This is an example of what I mean by causing tension between residents.

LRT May Be Off The Rails

Looks like the Feds are going to be doing an Audit of the LRT project to see if we are getting value for money. It appears John Baird is acting on a request from Larry O'Brien that was sent a while ago. I think this is good news so that a few ambitious councillors and the mayor are not pissing our money away.

One troubling thing I read in that story was a statement from Diane Deans. "Council made the decision to go ahead based on the contributions," said Deans. "This could seriously jeopardize the project if we lost the federal funding."

Well Diane if it is such a great project like you and the Mayor say it is then you should welcome the audit to verify your position. If you are worried that the funding may be withheld for the LRT then you can't be too sure the project is viable.
